In Julia Cameron's wonderful book, The Artist's Way, the author reminds us that in order to create, we must first "find the river." And the proverbial river, is always within. "Dependence on the Creator within, is freedom from all other dependencies," Cameron assures us, and anyone who has lost theselves in the creative process, and found themselves anew, would agree. I must read her book again, I have so many pages bookmarked for easy reference, but I think it's time to read it from front to back again. This is a beautiful self-portrait, isn't she gorgeous!
